Folksy v Etsy
It’s been an interesting 6 months or so since I first opened a shop on the British Folksy site.
I was really wishing it would be a success and that I would have as much business as from Etsy, but sadly this not happened. I cannot quite put my finger on why sales did not take off. Folksy try very hard to help their sellers with plenty of tips and forums, but getting that first sale is so important! The confidence factor is huge and buyers only seem to buy if you have good reviews. Catch 22 really.
So I shall think long and hard before offering more items for sale here.
